Overtime Fee
The Rental Party may elect to extend the time of the event or add one hour prior to the start of the set up time for pictures or other preparations.
Each additional 1/2 hour: $500
All events must end by 11:30 p.m.

 


RENTAL SCHEDULE
Rental Schedule based on an eight and one half hour time frame allowing for a five hour event, two and one half hours of set up and one hour of breakdown.

GROUNDS AND FACILITIES
Rental of Glen Magna Farms includes exclusive access to the grounds, and the following rooms in the mansion: First Floor: The Foyer, Drawing Room, Dining Room, Verandah, Kitchen, Little Parlor, and Rest Room. Second Floor: Two changing rooms connected by restroom, Gentlemen’s Rest Room, and additional Bedroom. The Mansion is heated but does not have air-conditioning. The first floor of the mansion is fully handicap accessible and meets the guidelines set forth by the American Disabilities Act (ADA).

CAPACITIES & ROOM SIZES
Glen Magna Farms can accommodate up to 125 people in the mansion. For larger
groups, tenting is required for an additional charge. Porch enclosures may also be
rented for the Veranda. The first floor of the mansion is fully handicapped accessible and meets the guidelines set forth by the American Disabilities Act (ADA).
Dining Room: 19’ x 28’, (4) 60” round tables, 40 guests
Foyer: 14’ x 21’, (2) 60” round tables, 20 guests
Drawing Room: 19’ x 31’, (6) 60” round tables, 60 guests
Small Parlor: 16’ x 18’, (3) 60” round tables, 30 guests
Lounge: 8’ x 13’
Library: 10’ x 19’
Veranda: 13’ x 37’ at widest point, 7’ wide on each end

ADDITIONAL FEES

Ceremony Fee
Ceremonies may take place on the grounds at no additional charge if the ceremony takes place within the five-hour rental time frame. The overtime fee would apply if the ceremony were to take place outside of the five-hour time frame.
 

PAYMENT SCHEDULE/CANCELLATION POLICY
DEPOSIT AND PAYMENTS

1. A non-refundable deposit of one-half of the full rental fee must accompany the signed contract to reserve Glen Magna Farms on a definite basis.

2. The balance of the rental fee must be received by The Society no later than 90 days prior to your event.

3. Checks should be made payable to The Danvers Historical Society.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Notification of cancellation of a definite reservation is required in writing to Glen Magna Farms. Should The Society rebook the date with a comparable rental, The Society will refund one-half of the deposit paid.

 

LIQUOR POLICY

The Danvers Historical Society/Glen Magna Farms does not have a liquor license. The client is responsible for bringing in their own liquor for the event. All bars must be hosted, cash bars are not permitted. Bartenders are needed for all bars and must be secured through your caterer. Alcoholic beverage service is limited to 4.5 hours. Bars must close 30 minutes prior to the end of the function, however, non-alcoholic beverages may be served until the ending time.

The following liquor stores will work on a consignment basis and provide delivery and pick up, and charging on only for bottles open.
